WHAT IS A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE & CLEAN?

Our professional service and cleans are tailored to accommodate the diverse wear and tear that jewellery may endure, recognising that everyone treats their precious pieces differently. 

A professional service and clean starts with a general check of the shape and condition of the item, checking to see if the ring has been damaged in any way. After an ultrasonic to clean away any foreign material, we then use stereo microscopes to check the stones and settings for any damage and ensure that the stones are secure. 

This is then followed by a more in depth look at the setting and shank to check for any wear, scratching or dents. During those inspections, we get an accurate idea of how the item is wearing or being treated, and how much polishing will be needed to bring the item back to its original brilliance and shine.

We then proceed with any necessary straightening, polishing, or re-tightening of the settings. For white gold jewellery, rhodium plating will be applied to restore the bright, white appearance.
