We are looking for a Part-Time Bench Jeweller to join our workshop team.
This role is suited to someone with a genuine passion for jewellery making and a strong foundation in the craft, who is eager to continue developing their skills in a professional fine jewellery environment.
You may be an experienced jeweller looking for a new environment, a late-stage apprentice or recent graduate ready to take the next step, or someone with strong practical skills and a genuine passion for jewellery who is looking to build their experience. Previous professional experience is highly regarded, but is not essential - we're more interested in your ability, attitude and willingness to learn.
You'll be someone who takes genuine pride in your work and enjoys the process as much as the outcome - with a sharp eye for detail, steady hands, and a commitment to craftsmanship. You'll be supported by our Production Manager and Senior Jewellers, with hands-on training and the opportunity to develop your technical skills within our workshop.
Just as importantly, you'll bring a positive, collaborative approach to the team in our close-knit workshop that values respect, open communication, and a supportive working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble, clean and finish cast CAD pieces to a high standard
- Carry out general jewellery repairs and workshop tasks, including soldering, resizing, polishing, rhodium plating and laser work
- Maintain a clean, organised workbench and adhere to all safe work practices
- Accurately track and record daily tasks within our production management system
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including feedback on production techniques and design refinements
- Uphold exceptional standards of craftsmanship and quality control
- Continue developing your technical skills through hands-on experience and training
- Work closely with, and report to, the Production Manager & Senior Jewellers
You'll thrive in this role if you bring:
- A genuine passion for jewellery making, with a strong desire to learn and refine your craft
- A foundational understanding of jewellery manufacture, whether gained through an apprenticeship, formal training, professional experience or personal practice
- A portfolio or examples of your work that demonstrate your practical skills and attention to detail
- Experience with jewellery-related software (such as EasyCAM, CAD or other design programs) is highly regarded, though not essential
- Experience in stone setting is highly regarded, though not essential
- A willingness to learn new techniques and work to established processes and standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality outcomes
- Comfort working with precious metals, diamonds and coloured gemstones, or a willingness to develop this knowledge
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Open to giving and receiving constructive feedback
- A positive, proactive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Must be based in Australia with full working rights
