Gabi's Wedding Story
We caught up with Gabi to hear all about her wedding day — from her carefully chosen LOUISE JEAN ring stack to her dreamy honeymoon plans. Discover the story behind her breathtaking wedding and minimalist yet timeless style.
From everyone at LOUISE JEAN, a huge congratulations on your wedding! We would love to know more about your wedding day preparations, from the early morning excitement to those cherished final touches, how did you prepare for your special day? Are there any tips or must-dos you'd recommend to brides-to-be?
Thank you so much! I wanted a super quiet, intimate morning. I woke up, had breakfast, went to the gym and just spent the morning with my mum getting our hair and makeup done, it was super memorable. There were no nerves because it was such a safe space and I wouldn’t change a thing.
Your LOUISE JEAN wedding ring stack is breathtaking. What inspired your choice to stack the Bold Ring & Cleo Ring with your Round Ceremonial Solitaire? How did you curate the pieces to reflect your personal style and sentiment?
I look at my ring stack 24/7, I can’t believe it’s mine. I wanted a stack that was classic but also wanted it to be unique and timeless. I love wearing all three rings or mixing and matching the rings. I especially adore the Bold Ring because it is slightly thicker and looks amazing on its own.

Finding the perfect dress is such a meaningful journey. How did you go about selecting yours? What mood or feeling were you looking to capture, and how did you know when you’d found the perfect gown?
Finding my dress was such a special process, I always knew I wanted something classic and nothing too trendy so it would never date. Vivienne Westwood was always my first choice, as soon as I tried on her designs I was in awe. I actually went into the fitting with my heart set on a different design but I wanted to try on a selection regardless and as soon as I tried on the Camille it just felt so right.
We know you're always ahead with the most beautiful nail designs. Can you tell us about the inspiration behind your wedding nails? Did you go for something timeless, or did you add a unique touch that felt truly 'you'?
I do love nail art but for the wedding I went for a classic nude pink with chrome, I didn’t want anything that took away from my dress, just something to complement the look and be timeless.
Choosing a venue sets the tone for the entire day! What factors were most important to you when selecting your venue? How did it complement the overall look and feel of your celebration?
The venue was the hardest element for our wedding and the reason it took two years to marry from our engagement. Chad and I felt strongly about having a European summer soiree inspired dinner party and a venue that feels like Europe is near impossible to find in Perth... I had actually given up looking and we were close to doing an elopement when I met with a new wedding planner, Lara from White Events. In the first five minutes of talking to her she mentioned she had a potential private home that felt like an Italian manor in the Swan Valley. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was the place I wanted to use to celebrate our love and say ‘I do’.

Were there any personal touches woven into your wedding day? Did you incorporate any meaningful or fun details that are special to you and Chad, making the day uniquely yours?
We knew before anything else we wanted a very intimate celebration with just our closest friends and family and a dinner party they would never forget. Having only 40 people at our wedding was perfect and memorable. We also made sure to have a string quartet for the ceremony. My mum walked me down the aisle, it was perfect.
Looking back, was there anything about planning that surprised you? Maybe a moment you didn’t expect to love or something that ended up way more fun than you thought?
I think because my planner was so good at her job it surprised me at how little I had to do. I organised to have a few items from my looks custom made, that process was truly fun being creative and seeing the pieces come to life.

For other couples in the thick of wedding planning, what’s one piece of advice you’d give? Something you learned along the way that made everything feel easier or more special?
I know it’s easier said than done but try not to stress, it truly is over in the blink of an eye so really savour all the moments, meetings and the process because it all makes for the best day of your life and I wish I could go back and live it a million times.
Where are you heading for your honeymoon? Are there any new and exciting destinations on your itinerary? We’d love to hear what you have planned for your first adventure as a married couple.
We didn’t go on a honeymoon straight away but we are heading to Japan in February as we are craving a snow holiday so we are calling that our honeymoon and we are so excited to explore somewhere new.
What made you choose LOUISE JEAN for your wedding rings and what was your favourite part of the design process?
I’ve always admired LOUISE JEAN from afar and the rings you create are always so timeless but always have a wow factor. I adore every single design I’ve seen come out of LOUISE JEAN and the craftsmanship is truly special so it just made sense to me!

Tell us more about your final styling pieces that brought your look together? Shoes, wedding perfume, fine jewellery, veil etc.
I found shoes one of the hardest parts for my look, nothing was perfect or the style had been too done in the wedding field. I wanted something classic but with a twist, something not too high as I’m already tall and something easy to walk on grass! I found the last pair in the world of these beautiful Attico pointed satin heels and made it my mission to have them. Jewellery was the second hardest, I truly didn’t know what I wanted and trying on jewellery without your dress on you never know if it’s the right fit. I worked closely with a Perth jeweller to custom make me a beautiful pair of big pearl earrings with a diamond and they were perfect. For my second look, I opted for more of a vintage style statement earring from Heaven Mayhem to elevate the look. My veil was a custom made lace trim cathedral length veil from Kait Grace and perfume was Baccarat Rouge.
Reflecting on your ring design journey, what advice would you give to someone that is looking to curate their dream wedding ring stack with LOUISE JEAN?
Try on everything, really take your time choosing your stack because everything looks different on everyone and trends come and go. You really do look at it everyday on your finger so find something you truly love and that feels like you!
