Custom/Bespoke FAQ's

 

Louise Jean Custom / Bespoke pieces are truely one of a kind, designed with the intention creating personalised jewellery that will stand the test of time.
The aim is to bring your vision to life by catering to your individual needs to finish with a piece that is unique, refined and beautiful.

 

WHY BUY HANDMADE? 

Louise Jean pieces are handmade in our studio using quality materials and are made for those who appreciate an attention to detail, artisan craftsmanship and unique design aesthetic.
Owning a handmade piece reflects individual expression and allows you to be involved in the design process, creating your own personal love story that you can wear everyday.

  

WHAT IS YOUR PROCESS AND HOW CAN I PLACE AN ORDER?

Each ceremonial piece on our website can be specially altered with your desired choice of stones, metal and specifications.
These pieces are what we call 'Bespoke' as they take our original designs and alter to your personal preferences.
If you have an idea in mind, we will work closely together to bring your dream vision to life to create a custom, one-of-a-kind piece. 
Please contact  Louise via email (custom@louisejean.com), where we will commence the design process and discuss your ideas, stone selection and budget.
From there you will be given some documentation about your final piece, pricing, and any terms and conditions.

 

WHAT MATERIALS AND STONES DO YOU WORK WITH?

Conflict-free stones and sustainability is very important to us, and we only work with metals/stones from ethical sources. 
We are able to source almost all precious and semi-precious stones in an array of shapes and sizes. Our Diamonds are all GIA Certified and from reputable sources.

HOW LONG DOES PRODUCTION TAKE AND CAN I SPEED UP THE PROCESS?

Bespoke pieces can take 3-6 weeks, depending on the alteration and materials used.
For Custom designs please allow 4-12 weeks from the date the order is finalised. We will able to provide you with a more specific production date when you order.
If you would like you order within a certain time frame, please let us know and we will accomodate the best we can. 

 

WHAT IS YOUR SHIPPING METHOD FOR INTERSTATE AND INTERNATIONAL ORDERS?

Australian customers: Custom/Bespoke pieces are posted either via Australia post or UPS. This will be determined during the design consultation.
International customers: All Custom/Bespoke pieces will be posted via UPS.
Tracking, insurance & signature on delivery will be included and a postage quote will be provided during the design consultation. 
Please note, all international packages are subjected to taxes and duties upon delivery, and Louise Jean will not be responsible for the cost of clearing your items through customs. We recommend to research your local import fees prior to completing your order. 

 

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY AND DO YOUR CUSTOM/BESPOKE PIECES COME WITH A WARRANTY?

Custom/Bespoke orders are not refundable and cannot be returned. Each piece is designed and made by hand, with many hours spent designing and consulting to ensure the final product is perfect.
All Louise Jean Custom/Bespoke pieces come under a one year warranty from the date of completion. The warranty will cover the whole ring under normal wear.
If the ring is noticeably bent, damaged or shows signs of improper care, we will repair the ring at cost. 
Diamonds smaller than 0.15ct will also be covered under this warranty, as well as any stones that may have come lose.
This does not include stones that have been chipped or prongs that have been bent from being caught or damaged from improper care. 
Damaged pieces can be repaired by us and any costs will be determined by the extent of repair. Resizing is not included under this warranty and will require a fee.
